How it all started
1986 – Frosch Neutral Cleaner
The 1980s were marked by various environmental disasters. Society became increasingly aware, and environmental protection gained growing importance. The spirit of the time called for a change in mindset in all areas of life, including the household.
The family-owned company Werner & Mertz wanted to offer ecological products for everyone through its Frosch brand. As a result, in 1986 the first Frosch product was launched on the market: the first plant-based, phosphate-free cleaner, our Neutral Cleaner.
Today, Frosch products are present in almost all European countries. In addition, thanks to its holistic ecological commitment, Frosch is also in demand in some countries outside Europe, such as Japan or South Korea.

Frosch offers environmentally friendly alternatives for all areas of the home. Its range includes products designed for cleaning the kitchen and the bathroom, as well as more versatile solutions for different household surfaces, always with sustainability as a central focus and without compromising on effectiveness.
For the youngest members of the family, Frosch offers the Frosch Baby line, specially developed to protect the sensitive skin of babies.
